Governance
Corporate governance is the system by which companies are directed and controlled. The board of directors are responsible for the governance and direction for their companies. Governance encompasses the relationship among various stakeholders such as shareholders, the community at large, management, employees, traditional authorities, government and all its agencies. The principal legislation affecting the governance of companies in Ghana is the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179).
