Our Executive Chairman performed statutory and management audits for a diverse range of major listed companies on the New York Stock Exchange. This gave him an insight and the blue print on what it takes to operate a successful business. His recommendations after statutory audits at Arthur Andersen & Co, assisted greatly in the establishment of Andersen Consulting to re-engineer and turn around ailing corporations.
Our story and experience:
- Our Executive Chairman was appointed the Executive Supervising Director (a position above the Managing Director) of Merchant Bank (Ghana) Limited at the beginning of 2008. In this position, he totally re-engineered and turned the fortunes of the Bank around within a period of one year, posted a net profit, and paid dividends of the equivalent of US$1 Million, the first time since 2001. Among other things, our CEO streamlined the Credit Policy and Operational Procedures of the Bank and its subsidiaries, formulated the Bank’s strategic plans and introduced budgetary control systems, set up Recovery and Monitoring Unit to restructure/reorganize non-performing customer accounts and introduced the concept of Responsibility Accounting and developed specialized reports to monitor the performance of each branch and business unit. He also introduced new policy guidelines covering all aspects of the bank’s operations.
- Investpro Limited was appointed by the government of Ghana, African Development Bank and the Bank of Ghana to perform a financial, operational and management review of all 115 Rural and Community Banks in Ghana. Our work, after reviewing and visiting each of these banks across the country, resulted in the development of a Strategic Business Plan and Recommendations for the re-positioning and Capitalization of the Banks. The outcome of our work, led to the strengthening and survival of the Rural and Community Banks in Ghana whose clients are in excess of 6 million customers today.
- Investpro Limited was engaged to provide technical assistance for the organizational restructuring of the Agricultural Development Bank Limited (“ADB Bank”). Our company successfully transformed the Bank from an agricultural and public sector mentality to a universal bank with a private sector and profit oriented mind set. This approach changed the projectile of the bank to become one of the leading competitive banks in Ghana today.
